Gravity Septic Systems
Gravity septic systems use natural slope to move wastewater from a structure into a septic tank and through a drain field. At Spoerr Precast Structures, we manufacture durable precast concrete septic tanks and distribution boxes designed for long-term performance in residential, commercial, and municipal applications across Ohio.
Intro
Tank Sizes
We offer a range of precast septic tanks sizes to meet project requirements:
-
750 Gallon
-
1000 Gallon
-

Concrete Distribution Boxes
Our precast concrete distribution boxes are designed for even wastewater distribution into the drain field:
-
5 Outlet
-
6 Outlet
-
9 Outlet
Built for strength and longevity, concrete distribution boxes are ideal for heavy-duty applications and long-term reliability.
Plastic Polylok Distribution Boxes
We also offer Polylok plastic distribution boxes for lightweight and flexible installation.
-
3 Outlet
-
6 Outlet
These are ideal for applications where ease of handling and quick installation are priorities.
How a Gravity System Works
Wastewater flows from the building into the septic tank, where solids settle and separate. The liquid effluent then flows by gravity into a distribution box, which evenly directs flow into the drain field for natural soil filtration.
Pros of Gravity Septic Systems
-
No pumps or electrical components
-
Lower installation and mainteance costs
-
Simple, proven system design
-
Long-lasting with fewer mechanical failures
-
Ideal for many residential applications
Cons of Gravity Septic Systems
-
Requires proper site slope and elevation
-
Not suitable for flat or uphill properties
-
Soil conditions must allow proper drainage
-
Could require larger drain field
